Difference about multi-way integrated solenoid valve island and solenoid valve manifold assembly

Multi-way integrated solenoid valve islands and solenoid valve manifolds are used to organize and control multiple solenoid valves in pneumatic systems, but they differ in structure, control, and applications.

Solenoid Valve Manifold Assembly

* **Definition**: Solenoid valve manifold is basically a mounting block or base that allows multiple individual solenoid valves to be installed side by side.

* **Control**: Each valve is controlled individually, usually via  separate wiring.

* **Flexibility**: Easy to replace or mix valve types (different functions, voltages, or ports).

* **Cost**: Lower initial cost than a valve island.

* **Application**: Used where only a few valves are needed or where valve replacement/change is frequent.

Example: 3V100/200/300,4V200/300/400,VF3130/VF5120,SY5000/7000 series manifold assembly**, where each solenoid valve is mounted on a shared manifold base to reduce piping.

Multi-way Integrated Valve Island

* **Definition**: A **valve island** (also called a valve terminal) integrates multiple solenoid valves into one compact, modular unit. It often includes **electrical control, communication interfaces, and diagnostics**.

* **Control**: Uses a **fieldbus or central electrical connector** → reduces wiring complexity (all valves controlled through one interface).

* **Integration**: Can include pressure zones, diagnostics, I/O modules, proportional valves, etc.

* **Flexibility**: More advanced, but replacement of individual valves may be less convenient than with manifolds.

* **Cost**: Higher initial investment but saves in wiring, space, and maintenance for complex systems.

* **Application**: Ideal for **automation lines, robotic systems, packaging machines** where many valves need to be controlled centrally.

manifold mounted solenoid valves

Application range: 2P025/2V025/3V1 could choose solenoid valve island

| Feature      | Solenoid Valve Manifold Assembly          | Multi-way Integrated Valve Island  |

| Structure    | Separate valves mounted on a manifold | Fully integrated modular unit   |

| Control      | Individual wiring per valve                        | Centralized control via bus/connector |

| Flexibility  | Easy to change valves                                | Advanced functions, but less plug-and-play|

| Cost         | Lower                                                          | Higher |

| Applications | Small/medium systems                          | Complex automation, Industry 4.0 |

| Wiring       | Many cables                                              | One cable/fieldbus connection  |

| Diagnostics | Basic (manual check)                              | Built-in diagnostics, status LEDs |

| Valve qty  | Assembling 2-20 way solenoid valve        | Only 2-10 way Solenoid valve |

 In simple terms:

* **Manifold assembly** = practical, low-cost way to mount multiple solenoid valves.

* **Valve island** = high-tech, centralized solution for modern automated systems.
